Alternate History

There is huge excitement in the air for many of us writers as November fast approaches. I have successfully completed NaNoWriMo for four consecutive years, from 2009 to 2012 and am very keen to make it 5 in 5 by successfully completing a NaNo novel in November 2013 too. This involves writing 50,000 words of a novel during the calendar month of November. The novel can be in any literary genre.

Editing “Let The Dead Stay Dead”

A writing project I am currently engaged in is the editing of my third thriller, “Let The Dead Stay Dead.” I found it quite fascinating to return to this manuscript which had been put on the back burner in October 2012. You may recall that I had written the first 50,000 words for “Let The Dead Stay Dead” during NaNoWriMo of 2011.

“A Bouquet From India”

We now have just a week to go before we blast off for NaNoWriMo 2012. The objective is to write a novel of 50,000 words during the calendar month of November 2012, starting from scratch. Some choose to be “rebels” and do short stories instead. I have chosen to be part of this rebel band this year.

Are you on for NaNoWriMo 2012?

Here’s a confession. Yes, I got to admit I am a sucker for the National Novel Writing Month, popularly called NaNoWriMo. I was initially hesitant about signing up for NaNo this year. Let me hasten to add that I have great regard for this initiative. It won’t be wrong to say that a large share for whatever little success I have enjoyed as a writer clearly goes to NaNoWriMo and all the Wrimos who I have interacted with.For the uninitiated, “Wrimos” are the folks who take part in NaNoWriMo.

NaNoWriMo 2011

It’s been signed, sealed and delivered, as they say! I completed NaNoWriMo 2011 for which I wrote 54, 919 words in November for my thriller “ Let The Dead Stay Dead.” I have been a great fan of NaNoWriMo ever since I did it for the first time in 2009.

NaNoWriMo 2011- An Update

You may have noticed it. I did too. I hadn’t realized that I haven’t blogged for a week now. The reason is obvious. It is that time of the year! I have been totally engrossed in the National Novel Writing Month.  NaNoWriMo 2011 is as exciting as previous years for me. I have got off  a bright start. In the first five days, I have completed 14, 500 words of my novel.

Things are warming up on the NaNoWriMo front. Yes, I am ready for the National Novel Writing Month 2011. My entry will be a project which has been on my mind for some time. A thriller/mystery novel called “Let  The Dead Stay Dead”.
